I am the Librarian for Discovery Services & Technology, which means I spend quite a bit of time working with SuperSearch, our Library Management Platform (the system that controls inventory, borrowing, purchasing, etc. of library materials), the library website, and various other online services. I am also the liaison to the departments of English & Literature and Theatre Arts. I have a Master of Arts in Library & Information Science from the University of Iowa, and I have held positions in public, academic, and corporate libraries.
My interests in academic librarianship center around Open Educational Resources (OER) and the rising popularity of generative AI in education. When I'm not staring at a computer monitor, I enjoy woodworking, gardening, reading, live trivia, and spending time with my wife and two daughters.
