Several tutoring and academic assistance centers are housed in the library.
The Writing Center, located on the west side of the lower level, serves undergraduate, graduate, and law students who need writing assistance. Writing Center tutors can help students brainstorm ideas, develop new writing strategies based on a particular assignment, resolve problems with organization and sentence structure, and more.
The Writing Center is a free service for Drake University students. Find out more at the English Department's Student Resources site.
The Speaking Center, located on the west side of the lower level, offers peer tutoring sessions and a resource library to assist Drake students in preparing speeches and presentations.
Find out more about the Speaking Center at the Access & Success Tutoring site.
Tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects--such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and more--are available on the west side of the lower level. Virtual sessions may also be available for some subjects. More information, and scheduling instructions, is available on the Access & Success Tutoring page.
