Pharmacists' Learning Assistance Network (P.L.A.N.)The Pharmacists' Learning Assistance Network (P.L.A.N.®) is a continuing pharmacy education information service provided to pharmacists through Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. A computerized compilation of all continuing pharmacy education programs offered by ACPE-accredited providers serves as the database for the service. The P.L.A.N.® service has been developed to allow pharmacists the opportunity to pursue a curricular approach to professional development through organization and planning of their continuing pharmacy education needs. In addition, since most states recognize ACPE-accredited providers, programs listed with the P.L.A.N.® service may satisfy pharmacists' continuing pharmacy education requirements.
U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA)AoA is the Federal focal point and advocate agency for older persons and their concerns. In this role, AoA works to heighten awareness among other Federal agencies, organizations, groups, and the public about the valuable contributions that older Americans make to the Nation and alerts them to the needs of vulnerable older people. AoA does this by serving as the Federal agency responsible for advancing the concerns and interests of older people and their caregivers, and by working with and through the Aging Services Network to promote the development of a comprehensive and coordinated system of home and community-based long-term care that is responsive to the needs and preferences of older people and their family caregivers.
