Purpose
Quality OER course materials can promote inclusive student success by reducing the cost of course materials. The intent of the program is to provide professional development related to the adoption of OER course materials and promote the use of OER course materials at Drake University. The grant is sponsored by the Office of the Provost.
Activities
October 6, 3:30-5:00 p.m. – participate in a virtual workshop (1.5 hours), which will introduce
the program, the participants, and provide a brief content overview.
Throughout the Fall 2023 semester, complete (asynchronously) OER online learning modules.
Actively participate in online discussion on Microsoft Teams (there will be a channel dedicated
to this program). Each learning module will have a discussion question to which you will be
expected to respond.
Before December 16, 2022, write a book review of an OER selected from the Open
Education Network (OEN). You will write the review using OEN’s criteria.
At the end of the Fall 2023 semester, complete an evaluation form related to the effectiveness
