Search for Missing Items
If a book or video is not on the shelf:
- Check the item’s record in SuperSearch to make sure it is not checked out. Checked out items appear with an “Unavailable” status and a loan date:
- Go to the Information Desk on the main floor to ask a staff member or student employee for assistance.
- We will check the shelf for the item, using several common search strategies. If we can’t quickly locate the item, you can request that we borrow the book from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). ILL is only available to current Drake faculty, staff, and students. Others can use their local public library to order Interlibrary Loan items.
- Over the next few weeks, we will continue to conduct in-depth searches for the item.
