"Scientists have made great advances in understanding how the brain works at the cellular level. But translating this knowledge to understanding human behavior and treating brain diseases such as drug addiction, eating disorders, attention deficit disorder, and neurodegenerative disorders has lagged behind. Brookhaven’s Center for Translational Neuroimaging aims to bridge this gap using a network of complementary brain-imaging tools including positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)."
