HarvardBusiness.org - Business Cases, Articles, Books, Resources
"This is a great site for locating resources--some free and others for sale--from Harvard Business Publishing. It features videos and various products on most Web pages, with the same organizing links featured consistently throughout the site. Something on each Web page changes every week. Resources include articles, blogs, books, downloads, subscriptions, software, and newsletters. Unusually, for the academic sector, some advertisements link to outside vendors and services. The site is easy to navigate. Below an advertisement, the top banner features five choices: For Managers, For Educators, For Corporate Buyers, Harvard Business Review, and Visit Harvard Business School. Each one opens to a home page with appropriate resources. For Managers leads to a site map with a Resources section including Blog Network, Leadership, Innovation, Strategy, You at Work, Communications, Finance and Accounting, Global Business, Organizational Development, Sales and Marketing, and Technology and Operations. Selecting Leadership from this group leads to another menu with links titled Change Management, Corporate Culture, Leadership Development, Management Performance, Personal Strategy and Style, Power and Influence, and Strategic Management. For educators, extensive resources on simulations, modeling, and case studies for use in teaching are particularly valuable. Available at the time of this review were a free online introductory course to corporate finance and opportunities for faculty to plan and organize courses at Harvard Business Online. Anyone needing business resources should check this site out. It will be very useful for public libraries supporting corporate business patrons and academic libraries supporting advanced undergraduates or graduate students in business." Choice May 2009.
