Using Your Online Library Account

Logging in to My Library Account online

You can use My Library Account to view and renew materials checked out to you, or to change your password.

Current Drake Students, Faculty and Staff – Use your Drake email address and password to access My Account. This is the same password you use to access myDrake and Drake webmail.

Other Users – If you do not have a current University account, you will need a password to access My Account. To get your initial password, email your request to  circulation@drake.edu.

Please note that our privacy policies do not allow us to give password information over the phone.

Once you have your password, go to SuperSearch, select Sign in (upper right corner), and enter your credentials. You can review your checkouts and requests, renew materials, and view your saved Favorites.

The Sign in link is in the upper right corner

Changing your Password

Current Drake students and employees must use the Drake Password Gateway to change passwords.

Other users, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to My Account in SuperSearch.
  2. Click on Personal Settings, then click Edit Details.
  3. Click Change Password, then enter your old password and new password and click the Update button. Your new password must be at least 6 characters, and must include at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one numeric digit.

Reviewing your checkouts and renewing items

The List of Active Loans screen displays all the items currently charged to your account, their due dates, and renewal status. If items have a status of “Renewable,” you may renew them by selecting the checkbox next to each item you wish to renew and clicking the “Renew Selected” button. You can also click “Renew All” to renew all eligible items.

In addition to Drake University, a list of FastTRAC Libraries appears next to your Active Loans list. Click on a library to view any items you’ve borrowed from that library.

Viewing requests (holds)

The Requests screen displays any items you have requested to be recalled or placed on hold. The hold status is displayed, and if the item has not yet been placed on the hold shelf for you to pick up, you have the option of cancelling the request.

In addition to Drake University, a list of FastTRAC Libraries appears next to your Requests list. Click on a library to view any items you’ve requested but not yet received from that library.
