Books: Cradles of Eminence: A Provocative Study of the Childhoods of over 400 Famour 20th Century Men and Women by Victor Goertzel and  Mildred G. Goertzel (1962). Little Brown & Co. This is a classic in gifted education literature.

A Parent's Guide to Gifted Children by James T. Webb, Janet Gore, Edward Amend and Arlene R. DeVries (2007). Great Potential Press.  One of the authors of this book (Arlene Devries) lives in the Des Moines area and is an adjunct professor of online courses in the Gifted & Talented Endorsement Program initiated by Dr. Sally Beisser, SOE.
