Exercise your freedom to read and join Cowles Library in celebrating Banned Books Week, September 26 – October 3, 2009. Visit the library’s main floor display featuring books that have or continued to be challenged. Learn the difference between a “challenge” and a “banning”, who challenges books, and the most common reasons for challenges. A variety of banned or challenged books are available on a book case near the Cowles Café.
