Many Thanks To Our Student Employees!

Please join us at Cowles Library in thanking our student employees for all of their hard work and dedication this past school year.  Their help enables us to provide services to you, the students, faculty, and staff at Drake, that would be very difficult to do without them.

Thank you for another great year!

We would also like to thank the following businesses for their donations to our annual student recognition event:

  • Drake Diner
  • Irene's Flowers
  • Iowa Bakery Cafe
  • Ren & Associates, Inc.
  • Spaghetti Works
  • Splash
  • University Book Store
  • Valley West Mall

Dickens at Drake!

Cowles Library is helping to promote the next Humanities Colloquium. "Decentering Dickens: Collaboration and Anonymity in Victorian Periodicals" to be presented Melisa Klimaszewski of the English Department on Friday at 3:30-5:00 in Medbury Honors Lounge.

Come to her talk and learn how the voice of women began to emerge in Victorian era publications – and why these publications are an important source for study and research. Klimaszewski is the author of Charles Dickens (Hesperus Press), and a forthcoming volume on Wilkie Collins.
